What is a fanlisting? According to TFL.org, 'A fanlisting is simply an online listing of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country. Fanlistings do not have to be large sites (although some are) - they are just a place where you can have your name listed along with other fans of the same subject. TheFanlistings.org is the original (but not official) web directory for fanlistings, dedicated to uniting the fans.'

malik ishtar

Malik Ishtar in the original Japanese anime and manga, is a character in the manga Yu-Gi-Oh! and the anime Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters (known internationally as simply Yu-Gi-Oh!).

Malik Ishtar is a later antagonist of Yu-Gi-Oh! and one of the foremost adversaries of the series. His family has guarded the tomb of the pharaoh for generations. Malik holds the Sennen Rod and with his Ghouls organization (called the Rare Hunters in the English anime), he wishes to obtain the three God Cards, and with them, unlock their power for himself so he can gain the title of "Pharaoh" and set his family free. He also has a hidden agenda - to get revenge on the ancient Pharaoh's soul for killing his father, as he was made to believe. In the English anime, he is considerably more fiendish. He wants the God Cards and the Millennium Puzzle to gain the power of the Pharaoh and rule the world. He believes that Shadi killed his father and isn't particularly concerned as he never had any real affection for his father.

yami no bakura / thief king bakura

While on a trip in Egypt, Bakura's father, the curator of the Domino City Museum, purchased an ornamental ring from a street peddler, which he gave to his son because - according to the animated series - it was connected with the Duel Monsters card game, which Bakura was fond of. In truth, this unassuming object was the Millennium Ring, one of the seven mystically-empowered Millennium Items. Contained within the Millennium Ring was an evil spirit, which took possession of Bakura, and came to be known as Yami Bakura ("Dark Bakura," in English). Unlike the similar relationship between Yugi Mutou and the spirit of his Millennium Puzzle, the spirit of the ring is a malignant entity, and completely suppresses Bakura's soul when it takes over his body.

While it was long known that the spirit dwelling within the Millennium Puzzle was that of a pharaoh from ancient Egypt, the true identity of the Spirit of the Ring was something of a mystery for most of the series. Writings about the series would often state that the spirit within the ring was that of a tomb robber from ancient Egypt, Thief King Bakura, and although this was never explicitly stated in the early adventures depicted in the manga or anime, Bakura did deliver several remarks that corroborated the claim. In the final story arc of the series, in which Yugi and his friends witness the events of 3000 years past re-played in an interactive "Shadow Game RPG", it was revealed that Thief King Bakura was (along with Ahkenaden) responsible for resurrecting the Dark God, Zorc Necrophades, but the ultimate fate of the Thief King was never revealed - in this game, he was shown to turn to sand, but this was a metaphorical representation of his "playing piece" being removed from the "board," and not what truly happened to him. Regardless, comments made by Bakura during this story do indeed indicate that the thief's soul (or a portion thereof) was ultimately sealed inside the ring.

However, Dark Bakura also explicitly identifies himself as Zorc, and not Thief King Bakura. Despite this, Zorc and Dark Bakura appear in separate incarnations in the Shadow Game RPG - while Zorc attacks the palace, Dark Bakura duels Yugi in the Pharaoh's tomb, so one or possibly both, like Thief King Bakura, could just be a "playing piece" and not the actual manifestation of the spirit. In addition, Dark Bakura is shown to be able to fragment his soul and does so to manipulate and possess others. Thus, the spirit may somehow be a combination of Thief King Bakura's soul and Zorc's soul.

thiefshipping / citronshipping

Thiefshipping is the pairing of Malik Ishtar and Yami no Bakura. Citronshipping is the pairing of Malik with Thief King Bakura.
The pair meet and become allies during the Battle City arc of Yuugiou, to overthrow the Pharoah for their own individual reasons.
Both Bakura and Malik are head strong characters, and seem to compliment each other perfectly. Together they make an interesting duo.
